A film by Maarten Vanden Abeele

In 2001 the Belgian photographer Maarten Vanden Abeele was commissioned by Meg Stuart to make the digital film Meg Stuart's Alibi, in which he recreates the performance Alibi (2001) into a visual reflection about dance, word, image and movement. In Alibi Meg Stuart creates a theatrical environment in which a physical and a virtual presence are confronted. The desire for the real clashes with a reality that has become a spectacle.
