Study of a Portrait is Meg Stuart’s first collaboration with visual artist Daan Emmen and film-maker Nanouk Leopold. Spaces of memory were the starting point for a video installation that, after a week of intense work, was presented during Art Rotterdam 2016.

In 2022 Emmen and Leopold created a second video installation, Another Woman, using the footage from 2016 together with new recordings of actors Sandra Hüller (DE) and Gillis Biesheuvel (NL) and new audio recordings.

Another Woman is a film installation about a universal theme - the end of an old relationship and the start of a new one. Manifest on multiple screens it places the actions of the protagonists in a physical space. An invitation to the visitor to imagine those lives and to take part.
