The video installation is based on a scene from the piece It’s not funny (2006) and was created in collaboration with the dramaturge Bart Van den Eynde, the author and director Tim Etchells and the video artist Chris Kondek. A disturbing clown’s face grins at the observer, while Meg Stuart gives him a voice and asks the audience probing questions. I thought I’d Never Say This… was created during and for the exhibition I am your private dancer at CC Strombeek and was curated by Luk Lambrecht.
